Old Governor’s Mansion – Dining Room Duex

So, just going to throw out an apology for the site. I’m going to put a sidebar on the right, but currently (as you probably have noticed) it’s empty. Will be fixed soon!

Here is another shot of the Dining Room. The previous shot, the fireplace, would be a to the left and behind where the camera is. Again, I absolutely love the green in this room! That, combined with the metal studs that divide each panel, make this room my favorite in the mansion! The gentleman who gave me the tour told me a lot of information about each room, but the only thing I can remember at 3:00 Am is that the chandelier was added at a later date… after the state purchased the property. I guess the original light was gas based and just didn’t look pretty enough. As an afterthought (actually, I just thought of it right now), it probably would be a good idea to bring a recorder for these kind of things. That way, if and when I forget, I will be able to listen to the information given during the tour! Oh well, enjoy the image!

Note: As is going to be the case in all future posts, I’ve included the before image as well. Please use the slider to change from before to after and let me know if you run into any problems.
